Job summary

Mr. X Inc. in Toronto operates a creative production studio with in-house Art, Creature, Editorial, and Visual Effects Departments.

We collaborate with A-list directors and filmmakers to bring projects from conception to completion, offering work-from-home, in-studio, or hybrid options. This role supports playback operations, reel creation, and pitching prep while keeping ShotGrid up to date and managing conform workflows.

Qualifications

• Computer proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Experience in ShotGrid (formerly Shotgun) considered an asset.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• Ability to problem solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be fluent in English, spoken and written.
• Knowledge in Avid Media Composer, Davinci Resolve, and Open Color IO.
• Ability to work onsite from our Toronto studio.

Responsibilities

• Operate playback for internal and client review sessions.
• Maintain daily review conforms.
• Ingest incoming packages from clients and outsource vendors.
• Create reels and assist with pitch projects.
• Assist the visual effects editor by updating database in Shotgrid and avid conforms.
