JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of this role is to demonstrate the ability to plan, organize work, read and interpret drawings, specifications, and manuals; exercise independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those encountered in the course of the work; coordinate work assignments with other divisions, departments or agencies.

Under direction; plans, assigns, directs, and inspects the work of personnel involved in the design, installation, testing, calibration, modification, maintenance, repair, and servicing of industrial electrical and electronic instruments, equipment, devices, controls, and machinery used in the production, and performs related duties as assigned.

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE:

1. Troubleshooting electrical problems and devise solutions for these problems
2. Ordering material for stock and jobs to be done
3. Ensuring tasks for the electrical department get completed
4. Design, installation, testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electrical, instrumentation, electronic, control, and related equipment and machinery
5. Schedules and coordinates activities with other departments and divisions.
6. Requisitions necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.
7. Research new operational methods, techniques, and equipment and recommends their application.
8. Tracking of motors installed, inventory, and being serviced
9. Permits for electrical work and yearly inspection
10. Making sure tools are repaired, calibrated etc.
11. Electrical maintenance of compressors, Power tool repairs
12. Follow safety practices in work methods and procedures;
13. Identifies potential electrical safety concerns and formulate solutions for the rectification of these deficiencies.
14. Reviews or prepares drawings and specifications for contract work and inspects work performed to determine compliance with standards and equipment.
15. Plans and oversees the testing of electrical and electronic equipment and devices on a scheduled basis.
16. Develops reviews and updates written maintenance instructions and schedules.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

1. Journeyman Electrician: 1 year (preferred)
2. Journeyperson Electrical Certification (required)
3. Red Seal Electrical Certification
4. Trained in Confined Space/Restricted Areas procedure.
5. Trained in Heat Stress and extreme temperature procedures.
6. Trained knowledge in Hot Work procedures
7. Competent in welding non-structural equipment.
8. Trained in lockout/Tagout procedures.
9. Positive, safety-conscious attitude
10. Able to work with others in a team.
11. Punctual and willing to work shift work.
12. Must be in good physical condition, able to lift 50 lbs.
13. Able to climb stairs, ladders, and rough terrain, working from heights.
