Job description

The Opportunity:

The Project Manager will be involved in all stages of a project's life cycle (i.e., Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Control, and Closure) for consulting services related to mining projects. Most components of this role will relate to engineering and/or environmental consulting scopes. The role will focus on areas such as mine engineering design, environmental permitting, field investigations, desktop analyses, feasibility studies, research, and more.

The Project Manager will work closely with Project Coordinators and Technical Managers to ensure the correct delivery of projects within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage budgets, scope, schedules, resources, and client satisfaction, collaborating with professionals across Canada supported by trained project coordinators.
  • Understand project scope and team roles to coordinate activities effectively.
  • Utilize project management tools and best practices to align with stakeholder expectations and business needs.
  • Maintain strong interpersonal communication, ethics, and integrity as this role is client-facing.
  • Be action-oriented, resourceful, and accountable.
What you can expect to do here:
  • Hold an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental, Business, or related disciplines.
  • Have at least 8 years of professional project management experience, including 3 years in consulting, with mining industry experience considered an asset.
  • Be proficient in English and French.
  • Have experience with project financial tracking, scope change management, and risk mitigation.
  • Adhere to PMI standards and possess expertise in project planning and analysis using tools like MS Excel, MS Project, or P6 Primavera.
  • Be highly organized, adaptable, calm under pressure, and a developing leader.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and client relationships.
  • PMI Project Management Professional certification is preferred.
Compensation:

Salary range in British Columbia: $96,200 - $132,200. Final salary may vary based on education, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs. The range may be adjusted for business reasons.
