The Pharmacy Technology Implementation and Support Specialist is responsible for the implementation, support and growth of a large breadth of Pharmacy Technologies. These systems include but are not limited to
- Pharmacy Automation (PacMed and Rowa Dose)
- Optical Verification (PacVision and Zius)
- Digital Pen Technologies
- Physician Order Scanners
- Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC)
- Internal Applications (Consultant Tools, Shipment Applications)
Your Day To Day
- Receive and act on direction from the Manager, Pharmacy Technology
- Work with Technology vendors to coordinate and manage project scheduling, scope and deployment.
- Represent Pharmacy Technology in cross-departmental project meetings involving Pharmacy Technology.
- Hold and conduct meetings (internal and external) to accomplish required needs.
- Have an intimate knowledge of our various pharmacy systems and how they interact.
- Troubleshoot and resolve systems that are down. Manage vendor escalation, where needed and track through to resolution.
- Work with Service Centre to aid in ticket management pertaining to Pharmacy Technology
- Work with Business Development to advise on Best Practices/SOPs
- Develop test plans to be used for the testing of new software releases and updates
- Define and enforce the software versions and standards for all Pharmacy Technology Systems
- Critical evaluation and problem solving within application systems.
- After hours on-call support as required.
- Upkeep of Support and Training documentation
- Evaluate vendor software releases and determine if they Pass/Fail our qa process.
- Maintain quality of service by assuring CareRx standards/expectations are met
- Maintain confidential and sensitive info
- Nation-wide travel when required.
What You Bring To The Team
- Previous experience with interfaced IT Systems a strong asset
- Strong ability to work within a team and help to directionally drive projects
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment involving numerous IT systems
- Strong organization skills
