Job Description:

The individual will support an enterprise architecture vision by participating in architecture strategy, guidelines, patterns, frameworks, and practices.

The business solution architect will specifically focus on Cogeco BSS systems (Customer Relationship Management, Product/Catalogue Information Management, Sales Order Management, Customer Support Management, and Technical Support Management).

The solution architect will work on agile methodology, dedicated to and engaged on one or two squads, collaborating with other teams on integration of the environment with upstream and downstream systems.

As part of the Enterprise Architecture team, the incumbent will provide business solution architecture and technical guidance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Document and maintain solution-level views of current business capabilities supported by people, process, and technology.
2. Advise and guide stakeholders on technology capabilities, aligning with End-to-End Enterprise Architecture Strategy.
3. Establish strategic technical targets for business capabilities and functionalities.
4. Create technical roadmaps for strategic technical targets.
5. Work with stakeholders to understand and influence key business requirements.
6. Contribute to product evaluation, integration reviews, and solution selection.
7. Collaborate with various architects to create solutions respecting the Enterprise Wide Strategic Technical Vision.
8. Conduct project reviews for compliance with architecture standards and approve solutions.
9. Research industry trends and vendor developments to leverage new technologies.
10. Ensure health and safety measures are followed, including use of personal protective equipment.
11. Support Cogeco’s goal of excellent customer service by being responsive to customer needs and resolving issues professionally.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years in IT Architecture or similar roles.
• 5+ years in Telecommunications, wireline and wireless.
• Experience with API development and system integrations.
• Experience with IT Billing and Finance Operations preferred.
• Extensive Front End, Billing, and CRM experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow and eCommerce technologies.
• Knowledge of omni-channel architectures.

SKILLS

• Solution-driven with strategic planning skills.
• Ability to interpret business needs into reliable solutions.
• Understanding of financial assessments related to architecture.
• Vendor management and change request handling skills.
• Deep knowledge of architecture concepts, including service-oriented architectures.
• Cloud architecture experience.
• Knowledge of TMForum standards; TOGAF certification is a plus.

This remote position is open to residents within the organization’s footprint, including:
