Join to apply for the Cloud Solutions Architect - Alliances role at Canonical
Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. Our customers include top public cloud and silicon providers, as well as industry leaders across sectors. We are a pioneer in global distributed collaboration, with over 1000 colleagues in 70+ countries, and very few roles based in offices. Teams meet in person 2-4 times a year at interesting locations worldwide to align on strategy and execution.
We are a founder-led, profitable, and growing company. We are hiring a Cloud Solutions Architect in our Alliances team to help our major partners (like Intel, Nvidia, Google, Dell, HP, Accenture, Tata, and others) understand and adopt our open source platform for their own use and for their customers.
Our global field engineering team applies expert insights to real-world customer problems, enabling enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps, and related technologies. We are experts across the open source stack, from kernel to desktop, cloud to edge. We are also interested in business challenges—building reliable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions—and learning to speak the language of our customers and their industries.
We assist global companies in adopting public and private cloud infrastructure, cloud-native operations, and open source applications. For this team, we seek several Alliances Engineers to support OEMs (hardware manufacturers), GSIs (global system integrators), ISVs (independent software vendors), channel partners, and public cloud alliance partners. You will support various alliances and partners in adopting our products and technologies, and help business leaders define joint go-to-market strategies from a technical perspective.
Our field engineers often have 'the hardest job at Canonical' because customers inquire about any aspect of our solutions and expect well-informed, thoughtful answers. We prioritize doing what’s best for our partners and customers, regardless of our company interests, trusting our engineers to uphold this standard.
