A leading engineering firm in Alberta is seeking a Civil EIT to join its Water business. The role involves supporting civil engineering tasks for water and wastewater projects, requiring a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and strong communication skills. Join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions and making a global impact.
Many of the world’s top engineers and scientists come together in our Water business because they view a community’s interaction with water a bit differently—as a single holistic system, rather than unconnected networks divided by jurisdictional boundaries. Working throughout the hydrologic cycle, we are delivering sustainable solutions to make sure water is where it should be and available when needed. Our experts guide our work with scientific rigor, an innovative spirit, and a vision for growth. Every day, we help communities improve, reuse, and protect this precious resource for future generations. Grow with us, H2O+U
Our Fort McMurray office has an opportunity for a Civil EIT to join our group and help support and grow our Water business. You should be able to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for a project. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include calculations, field work, coordination of simple tasks, and meeting attendance and recording. The smaller projects assigned to an entry-level civil engineer will typically have fewer complex features. In general, an entry-level civil engineer will assist more senior engineers/designers by performing routine civil engineering tasks.
This role supports multidisciplinary civil, water, and wastewater projects, including existing construction, infrastructure renewal, and rural work.
Responsibilities include detailed studies and design tasks related to water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and site civil projects, documentation in MS Excel and Word, report writing, design coordination, meeting attendance, contract administration, and assisting project managers.
The work environment includes office work and field exposure to weather conditions. This description may evolve with additional duties as assigned.
Join us at Stantec, where talented individuals build on each other's strengths, engage in exciting work, and make a global impact. Redefine your personal best with us.
