Job description

Our client is a well-established company based in Acheson, AB specializing in the fabrication and fitting of structural steel components, dedicated to providing high-quality craftsmanship and safe working practices.

What We Offer :

• Competitive hourly wages range from $22.00 to $35.00 per hour based on experience.
• Consistent work with occasional overtime available.
• Stable work environment with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

What You’ll Do :

• Fit and weld structural steel components, following precise specifications and safety standards.
• Perform metal-cored arc welding (MCAW) and other welding techniques as required.
• Read and interpret shop drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Adhere to all company safety procedures, participate in safety meetings, and uphold a safe working environment.

What We’re Looking For :

• Proven experience in metal cored arc welding (MCAW) and structural steel fitting.
• Valid CWB certification in MCAW / FCAW (apprentices with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply).
• Strong ability to interpret shop drawings and work with precision.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to safety protocols and participation in company safety initiatives.

Schedule :

• Must be available for a 44-hour work weekly with opportunities for overtime
