Job Details
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Learn about medications produced by pharmaceutical companies and comply with Health Canada’s regulatory standards and Product Monographs for administration.
  2. Administer the medications (IV, SC, IM) in a specialty Innomar Clinic, Delta-Surrey location, 1 Year Contract.
  3. Assess and monitor infusion and injection treatments as directed by protocols.
  4. Complete necessary documentation based on policies and procedures, directions from the College of Nurses, and ISO accreditation standards.
  5. Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and/or product complaints, in accordance with Innomar policies & procedures.
  6. Provide reliable availability, five 8-hour shifts per week, or four 10-hour shifts per week. Shifts may be within Monday through Friday, times may be within 7:30 am - 7 pm. No statutory holidays, no night shifts, one Saturday per month.
  7. Communicate effectively amongst multi-disciplinary teams, including case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, and other departments, to meet established timelines.
  8. Participate regularly in team web-based meetings/training sessions with the Manager, Regional Nurse Educator, and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards.
  9. Participate in specialized pharmaceutical-related trainings as required.
  10. Adhere to professional nursing standards as per your professional associations and Innomar.
  11. Follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  12. Follow all health and safety standards as per the Provincial Health and Safety Act.
  13. Complete ongoing and annual education training within the specified timeframes.
  14. Be able to independently learn on digital platforms and utilize these in the work environment to meet work requirements.
Experience and Educational Requirements
  1. Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse required.
  2. 1 year experience in IV initiation required.
  3. Current registration with licensing body; CPR certificate.
  4. Experience in a critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or homecare setting.
  5. ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are assets.
  6. Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook (email), MS Word, and other applicable computer programs.
  7. Access to internet connection.
  8. Knowledge of cell phone for appointments/assignments and fax machines.
  9. Excellent customer service skills for managing daily interactions with patients, family members, physicians, and clients. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger team.
  11. Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary.

  1. Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
  2. Business and financial acumen is an asset.

  13. Hold and maintain a valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver's license and insurance coverage.

The successful candidate may have daily contacts with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
