Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care in Ontario is seeking a temporary part-time ECT Registered Nurse to deliver nursing and mental health services within a comprehensive ECT program. You will provide hands-on nursing care across pre-op, peri-anesthetic, and post-operative phases for individuals with serious mental illness.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize medication management, assess discharge readiness, and support rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current registration as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
• ACLS, IV & Phlebotomy certifications required.
• Peri-Anesthetic certification required.
• Valid Ontario Driver's License required.
• Results oriented, able to work independently and deliver timely results.
• Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptability and positive attitude in changing environments.
• French/English language proficiency preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing and mental health services in an Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) program.
• Assist with pre-op, peri-anesthetic care, and post-operative follow-up for ECT patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners on medication management.
• Assess rehabilitation and discharge readiness; support life skills and community linkage.
• Coordinate case management, monitor outcomes, and document care for quality improvement.
• Contribute to policy development and crisis management planning for the ECT program.
• Document all patient contacts for statistical purposes and program evaluation.
• Foster a learning environment for students and staff; provide orientation and coaching.
