Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance in institutional environments.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items and climb ladders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff, clients and public.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts and across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Mop and polish hard surface floors; use handheld or auto scrubbers where applicable.
• Transport garbage and maintenance equipment between locations.
• Clean and store equipment and machinery; clean glass areas that require ladders or extension equipment.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors; steam clean or shampoo carpets.
• Notify managers about major repairs or additions to building systems.
• Move supplies and replenish cleaning solutions; follow safety procedures with chemicals.
