ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer / Designer in Calgary. This role offers the chance to work with an experienced technical team, receive hands-on training, and be involved in all aspects of engineering and design.

As a Transmission Line Engineer / Designer, your responsibilities will include preparing estimates, material take-offs, scopes of work, survey and design packages, assisting in engineering reports, performing calculations for transmission and distribution lines, and utility grounding systems. You will use PLS CADD software for line design and analysis, conduct site visits, and perform field inspections during construction. Ensuring designs meet industry and internal standards and acting as the Design Lead on projects are also key aspects of this role, along with promoting Safety in Design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with PLS CADD software is required.
• Active membership or eligibility for registration with APEGA.

Preferred

• 6-8 years in utility transmission line projects.
• Experience leading design teams and mentoring junior engineers.
