Job Summary :

As a Drywall Foreman, you'll play a key leadership role in commercial, residential, and other construction projects. This position involves supervising and participating in drywall system installations, with a strong emphasis on steel stud framing. Responsibilities include overseeing crews, coordinating tasks, ensuring high-quality drywall installation, framing (steel and wood), insulation, and related components. You will also read blueprints, manage materials, and ensure safety compliance on-site.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with hand and power tools, have extensive experience with steel stud systems, and demonstrate strong leadership skills. Emphasizing safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship is essential for success in this mid-senior level role.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and assist in installing steel stud and wood framing, drywall, insulation, and related systems. Interpret blueprints and layouts for accurate execution and quality results.
  • Coordinate crew tasks, monitor progress, and uphold safety and quality standards.
  • Inspect framing and drywall work for alignment, code compliance, and finish quality.
  • Communicate with site supervisors and trades to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Maintain tools, enforce safety practices, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in drywall installation and steel stud framing, including supervisory roles.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools used in framing and drywall work (e.g., drills, saws, levels, lifts).
  • Ability to read blueprints, layouts, and construction documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, code-compliant work.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Solid understanding of construction safety practices and standards.
  • Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and collaborate with other trades.
  • Good communication and time management skills to meet project deadlines.

Work Conditions :

  • Flexibility in working hours may be required; overtime paid accordingly.
  • Travel to off-site locations may be necessary.
  • Safety equipment such as steel-toed boots and safety glasses is mandatory.
  • Potential hazards associated with the trade.
  • Work may be indoors in confined spaces or outdoors.
  • Wear appropriate work attire such as jeans, long sleeves, and hoodies.
