About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team and lead the successful delivery of key business initiatives—particularly those with a strong financial focus. In this role, you’ll work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and oversee projects from conception to completion. You'll be hands-on in your approach, ensuring timelines, resources, and communication are managed effectively while helping projects meet business goals, stay on budget, and align with strategic objectives.
This is an ideal role for a project manager with a solid background in financial project implementation, change management, and experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) initiatives. We’re especially interested in candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy being actively involved in execution, not just oversight.
Responsibilities :
Lead and implement strategic projects, with a focus on financial systems and business transformation.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develop comprehensive project plans and associated communication materials.
Manage project budgets and resource allocation with a business-first mindset.
Facilitate team meetings and coordinate across business functions to ensure successful delivery of project milestones.
Identify and manage risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are in place.
Monitor project performance and provide regular reporting on progress and outcomes.
Lead or support change management efforts to drive adoption and sustainability of project outcomes.
Provide hands-on support throughout the project lifecycle, not just guidance or delegation.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, management, or a related field.
Proven experience managing complex projects, particularly those involving finance or corporate development / M&A.
Strong understanding of financial systems, business operations, and cross-functional project impacts.
Experience in leading or supporting change management initiatives.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) or Prosci certification is an asset.
Skills :
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated leadership and the ability to motivate and align cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple, concurrent initiatives under tight timelines.
Hands-on project execution style; not just oversight but a doer mentality.
Comfortable operating in dynamic and evolving business environments.
