Job description

Location : Edmonton, AB (Work is remote)

• Standard hours are 08:15 - 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays observed by the Province.
• Work must be performed from within Canada due to network and data security requirements.

Scope :

Reporting to the Senior Manager Program Supports, the Broadband GIS Analyst is responsible for providing support for all broadband programs, both direct and indirect.

Required Skills & Experience :

• Proficiency with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and FME Software, with hands-on experience.
• Experience creating thematic maps that highlight specific data points or trends.
• Experience designing and producing maps that visually represent spatial data.
• Experience transforming raw data tables and data frames into accurate maps for exploratory analysis.
• Experience creating and managing geospatial datasets and performing complex spatial queries.
• Experience using statistical techniques to analyze geographic data and make predictions.
• Experience with spatial data extraction, transformation, and loading to enterprise geodatabases.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting geographic data, spatial relationships, and patterns.
