Qualifications

Overview

Vertex is currently accepting applications for a GIS Analyst in Alberta.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or university degree in or related to GIS.
  • Up to 3 years of experience creating maps in ESRI ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online
  • Experience with ArcGIS Collector app and Survey 1,2,3 or Field Maps
  • Experience in environmental consulting providing high quality figures and geospatial data sets
  • Geomatics support to a range of project types and sectors
  • Proficiency with MS Office

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare digital maps, figures, geospatial and tabular data sets, process spatial data sets from sources such as GPS, field observations, environmental monitoring, satellite images, and LiDAR.
  • Collaborate with geomatics team and environmental scientists to ensure high-quality results.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Maintain company standards and procedures under the direction of the Geomatics Team Lead, adhere to all company standards, procedures and QA/QC processes associated with geospatial data management, templates, and client specific presentation standards.
  • Other duties as directed by your direct supervisor or manager.

LOCATION

  • This position will be based out of our Blackfoot Trail Office in Calgary, AB
