Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence, the GIS (Geographic Information System) Analyst is responsible for geospatial data analysis, as well as the development and management of GIS applications. This is a term certain position for 1 year.

What will you be responsible for?
General Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain GIS products, including web maps and applications based on business requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on GIS applications and geospatial data, promoting geospatial analytics.
  • Automate GIS processes ensuring high-quality technical documentation.
  • Plan and deliver GIS training across the organization to enhance process efficiency.
  • Coordinate testing and quality assurance for GIS products, ensuring reliable performance.
Technical Responsibilities:
  • Develop products and applications in ArcGIS Enterprise Portal for specific business use cases.
  • Assist with migration of applications from ArcGIS Online to ArcGIS Enterprise Portal.
  • Support extraction, conversion, loading, and cataloging of geospatial data from internal and external sources.
  • Perform spatial and non-spatial analysis to produce maps, reports, and applications supporting decision-making and project goals.
  • Automate tasks using Python programming to analyze data and generate reports in maps, tables, charts, and stories. Troubleshoot and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Work closely with the team to maintain current applications and keep data and tools up to date.
  • Highly proficient with ESRI products such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Hub, and ArcGIS Pro.
Education & Experience
  • Degree in GIS with at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Strong programming background with focus on Python for GIS.
