On behalf of our client, Zymeworks, Swim Recruiting is seeking a well-rounded Financial Planning & Analysis Consultant with deep experience using the SAP suite—specifically S4 / Hana and SAC (SAP Cloud Analytics). This contract will have a 6-month term to start, with the possibility of extension into 2025. It’s a fantastic opportunity to further hone your strategic FP&A skills in a complex, fast-paced global public company. Preference for the Consultant to be based in Vancouver, but open to candidates across Canada and in the Pacific North-West United States.

Zymeworks is headquartered in a net-zero facility in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant biotech hub, with additional offices in Dublin, Singapore, Washington, and California.

What - the Position :

Swim Recruiting has been engaged by Zymeworks to identify and hire a full-time Analyst, Corporate FP&A, on a consulting basis for an initial 6-month term. The Analyst will join an FP&A team of five, supporting primarily the G&A function, with some assistance to R&D, and will interact with leaders across various departments.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Develop and maintain monthly P&L, forecast, and budget in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
2. Create and maintain dashboards within SAC.
3. Manage multiple models within SAC, reconcile differences as needed.
4. Create, update, and schedule data actions in SAC to ensure data consistency across the organization.
5. Utilize large datasets and cross calculations in SAC for clear financial presentation.
6. Assist in preparing senior management presentations with clear financial insights.
7. Participate in G&A business partner meetings to discuss financial inputs and updates.
8. Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses for strategic and operational decisions.
9. Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues, management, and external partners.

Candidate Requirements :

• Experience with SAP S4 / Hana and SAC is required; SAP Ariba experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and formulas.
• Experience with SAP’s front and back end, including master data management (training available if needed).
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree; professional qualifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, MBA in Finance, or SAP Certification are highly regarded.
• At least 4 years of recent FP&A experience in a complex environment.
• Experience in biotech, pharma, or life sciences is a strong asset, or a science background or interest.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to present to senior management.
• High attention to detail, confidentiality, and a self-starter attitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-changing environment.

Location :

Headquartered in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant, with a preference for hybrid work from Vancouver. Open to qualified candidates across Canada and possibly in Washington, Oregon, or California.

Compensation :

Hourly rate: $40–$54, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus vacation pay. Potential for benefits, stock purchase plan, bonuses, wellness allowance, RRSP matching, and other perks if converted to permanent staff.
