Job Description

Company Overview: The Home Hardware Brand is the largest independent hardware and building supply retailer in Canada, comprising over 1,100 dealer-owned locations with more than 100,000 products. Mara Lumber Home Building Centre is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team immediately.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain current accounts payable records.
  • Maintain corporate account records and process payments.
  • Pay bills and invoices according to the payment schedule to maximize discounts.
  • Prepare cheque runs and mail to wholesalers and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with local, federal, and provincial tax obligations.
  • Prepare profit and loss statements and balance sheets in line with company policy.
  • Assist with year-end financial records and statements.
  • Process payroll according to government standards.
  • Coordinate HR policies and procedures with relevant department managers.
  • Process personnel records as required by company policy.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Strong skills in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to self-manage and work effectively in a team.
Job Details
  • Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Wage: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
  • Hours: 40 per week
  • Location: Kelowna, BC (On-site)
