Job Title: Conference Services Manager

Working within our Conference Services Team, you will be an ambassador for our exceptional offerings at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, liaising between multiple departments to exceed the expectations of your clients!

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 gross annually, based on previous experience and education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize convention bookings from the initial booking to departure, including meeting requirements, guest room requirements, guest room pickup, food & beverage, and audio-visual needs.
  • Create floor plans for each event to ensure banquet and client satisfaction prior to setup.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with clients before, during, and after conferences, encouraging repeat business.
  • Initiate billing procedures, ensuring deposits and credit applications are received.
  • Conduct pre-conference meetings with clients and relevant departments to confirm all details.
  • Attend daily meetings to review event contracts and communicate last-minute changes to appropriate departments.

Qualifications:

  • Previous management experience in a similar role is required.
  • Proficiency in Delphi, Microsoft Office, and Property Manager.
  • Knowledge of hotel banquet operations is an asset.
  • CMP Certification is an asset.
