Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Deskside Support / Help Desk / Field Service Technician to provide hardware and software support. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in field service and deskside support, along with strong troubleshooting skills. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware roll-outs.
  • 1-2 years of deskside support experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate IMAC activities such as hardware roll-outs.
  • Provide deskside support services including troubleshooting.
  • Respond to calls from the National Dispatch / Call Management Center.

Job description

Position :

Deskside Support / Help Desk / Field Service Technician

Type :

Full-time / Part-time or Per Project

Responsibilities :
  • Perform intermediate IMAC (installs, moves, adds, changes) activities such as hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other hardware deployment related activities on PCs, laptops, printers, POS devices, etc.
  • Provide deskside support services including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
  • Handle basic LAN and internetworking activities
  • Respond to, update, and close calls from the National Dispatch / Call Management Center
  • Communicate with customers to diagnose problems, establish ETA, and identify parts requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
  • 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and deployment activities
  • 1-2 years of deskside support experience
  • Strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills
  • A+ certification
  • Vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP) are a plus
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
  • Flexible work schedule availability
  • Minimum Diploma from a recognized IT program
