Job description

This role is as a self-employed contractor and you need to be located in Canada.

This role operates as a self-employed associate, covering work as an Assessor as determined by the client for specific assignments. The role involves delivering audits within the Retail & Hospitality division, specifically focusing on hospitality in Canada.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessments, audits, and inspections that meet the specific requirements of customers in an efficient and professional manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing your monthly availability for the proposed work.
  2. Planning and managing assigned work within agreed timescales with the client.
  3. Completing environmental audits (food safety, health and safety, fire safety) in accordance with legal and client-driven requirements, aligned with specific country codes.
  4. Completing audit reports immediately after audits and submitting them on the same day.
  5. Correcting and updating reports promptly upon request.
  6. Keeping your Line Manager / Lead Auditor informed of client requests during audits.
  7. Allowing shadow and witness audits from the client, line manager, or senior team as required.
  8. Maintaining CDP and undertaking additional training when onboarding new clients.
  9. Maintaining high IT skills aligned with the equipment and software used in the business.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to audit food safety and health & safety standards.
  • Experience as an auditor, particularly in hospitality auditing.
  • Proficiency with IT tools and software.
  • Ability to travel, ideally with your own vehicle.
