Enterprise Account Executive, National Accounts

About The Role

As a member of the Confluent Sales Team, the Enterprise Account Executive is responsible for selling Confluent solutions to our National Accounts segment. You will use your prospecting, sales, negotiation, and leadership skills to effectively sell Confluent offerings to leading companies to meet and exceed your quarterly sales target. A 'consumption / growth' mentality and a proven success record in a value-driven sales model are essential.

What You Will Do

  • Drive revenue growth in large, complex, and highly visible accounts
  • Proactively prospect, qualify, develop, and close a sales pipeline while growing consumption in existing accounts
  • Lead and execute a strategic, complex sales cycle, demonstrating value at the C-Level
  • Become an expert / SME of Confluent offerings, product suites, and the competitive landscape
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer strategies and goals to become a trusted advisor
  • Collaborate with partner ecosystem teams for selling and integration
  • Work closely with Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams to ensure technical wins, customer experience, and expansion opportunities

What You Will Bring

  • 8+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in competitive markets, focusing on growing consumption
  • Experience with Big Data, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT solutions
  • Sales methodology training (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger)
  • Experience in executing complex sales strategies to increase revenue
  • Track record of overachievement and quota attainment
  • Ability to articulate and sell business value to diverse businesses
  • Skills in developing processes and managing organizational change
  • Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • BS / BA degree or equivalent preferred
