Job summary

Ausenco is recruiting an Earthworks Supervisor to join our Project Execution team. The role operates on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation on a project site in Northern BC, Canada.

You will supervise earthworks, lead site safety, manage scope, cost and schedule, and coordinate with engineering and procurement to align design and execution. Brownfield experience and expertise in earthworks delivery are essential.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership on construction sites about health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Experience coordinating earthworks scopes on EPCM projects.
  • Strong track record in managing scope, cost and schedule for earthworks.
  • Experience with change management and interfacing with engineering and procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day earthworks activities including bulk excavation, grading, haulage and embankment works.
  • Oversee subcontractors and supplies, monitor progress, quality and productivity, escalate issues as required.
  • Track earthworks quantities, costs and schedule performance and support forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement to ensure design deliverables and construction requirements are understood.

We are currently recruiting for an Earthworks Supervisor to join our Project Execution team. This role will operate on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off on a project site in Northern BC.

About The Role
  • Supervise day-to-day earthworks activities, including bulk excavation, grading, haulage, and embankment works, in alignment with the approved construction plan
  • Provide strong leadership and commitment to health, safety and environmental standards, supporting a positive safety culture across site teams and subcontractors
  • Manages scope, cost, and schedule for assigned earthworks packages, ensuring change management processes are applied and documented
  • Oversee subcontractors and supplies, monitoring progress, quality and productivity, and escalating performance or resourcing issues as required
  • Work closely with engineering and procurement teams to ensure design deliverables, quantities and construction requirements are clearly understood and aligned with site execution
  • Track earthworks quantities, costs, and schedule performance, analyzing trends and supporting forecasting activities
  • Support interface management between earthworks, other construction disciplines, and operational stakeholders to minimize disruption and rework
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or relevant discipline.
  • Strong experience working on EPCM projects within mining, construction or relevant industrieswith a focus on earthworks delivery
  • Proven experience coordinating earthworks scopes in brownfield environments, including shutdowns and tie-ins
  • Experience supporting the management of contracts and significant-value purchase orders from mobilization to completion
  • Solid technical and practical understanding of earthworks construction methodologies, quantities, and sequencing

Salary range:$90 - 110/hr

Expected Salary:Variation in salary isdeterminedby factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
