Job summary

Ausenco in Canada is seeking an experienced Earthworks Coordinator to join our Project Execution team. The role operates on a two-week rotation on site in Northern BC, coordinating day-to-day earthworks, leading safety, and aligning with the construction plan.

You will manage scope, cost, and schedule, coordinate subcontractors, work with engineering and procurement, track quantities and forecasting, and support interface management across disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong experience on EPCM projects in mining/construction with a focus on earthworks delivery.
  • Proven experience coordinating earthworks scopes in brownfield environments.
  • Experience supporting contracts management and significant-value purchase orders from mobilization to completion.
  • Solid technical and practical understanding of earthworks construction methodologies, quantities, and sequencing.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day earthworks activities, including bulk excavation, grading, haulage, and embankment works.
  • Provide strong leadership and commitment to health, safety and environmental standards on site.
  • Manage scope, cost, and schedule for assigned earthworks packages and ensure change management is applied.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and supplies, monitor progress, quality and productivity, and escalate issues as required.
  • Work with engineering and procurement teams to ensure design deliverables and construction requirements are aligned.
  • Track earthworks quantities, costs, and schedule performance and support forecasting activities.
  • Support interface management between earthworks and other construction disciplines to minimize disruption.

About the role
  • Coordinate day-to-day earthworks activities, including bulkexcavation, grading, haulage, and embankment works, in alignment with the approved construction plan

  • Provide strong leadership and commitment to health,safetyand environmental standards, supporting a positive safety culture across site teams and subcontractors

  • Manages scope, cost,and schedule for assigned earthworks packages, ensuring change management processes are applied and documented

  • Coordinates subcontractors and supplies, monitoring progress, quality and productivity, and escalating performance or resourcing issues asrequired

  • Work closely with engineering and procurement teams to ensure design deliverables, quantities and construction requirements are clearly understood and aligned with site execution

  • Track earthworks quantities, costs, and schedule performance, analysing trends and supporting forecasting activities

  • Support interface management between earthworks, other construction disciplines, and operationalstakeholders to minimize disruption and rework

About you
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline.

  • Strong experience working onEPCM projects within mining,constructionor relevant industrieswith a focus on earthworks delivery

  • Provenexperience coordinatingearthworks scopes in brownfield environments, including shutdowns and tie-ins

  • Experiencesupportingthe managementofcontracts andsignificant-value purchase orders frommobilizationto completion

  • Solid technical and practical understanding of earthworks construction methodologies, quantities, and sequencing

Salary range:

$60 - 90/hr
