Job summary

leading-edge seeks an Earthworks Labourer in Edmonton, Canada for full-time work on excavation, grading, site preparation and civil construction projects across Canada. You will support operators, supervisors and crews to ensure safe and efficient site operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with heavy earthwork tasks, material handling and site setups, while maintaining a clean and safe work area and adhering to PPE and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates welcome (0–2 years)
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour outdoors
• Basic understanding of construction site safety
• Reliable, punctual and a team player
• Valid driver’s license is an asset

Responsibilities

• Assist with excavation, grading, backfilling and site preparation activities
• Move and distribute soil, gravel, sand, and other materials
• Assist equipment operators with ground-level tasks and site prep
• Perform manual digging, shoveling, levelling and compacting as required
• Load, unload and organize tools and construction materials
• Support drainage, trenching, foundations and earthworks
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Follow site safety procedures and wear PPE
• Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues
• Assist supervisors and skilled workers with other construction duties
