Job summary

Holy Spirit Catholic School Division is hiring an Early Learning Education Assistant for St. Michael's School in Pincher Creek. This temporary 24.0 hour/week role runs Nov 1, 2026 to Jun 10, 2027, under CUPE 1825.

Qualifications

• Hanen Learning Language and Loving It Certification is required.
• Minimum one year experience in Childhood Program or with children with special needs.
• Experience with proactive positive intervention with child behaviours.
• Ability to provide supports and cues for sound production as directed by the Speech Language Pathologist.
• Ability to match activities and model appropriate behaviours at the child\'s functioning level.
• Must have or be willing to gain First Aid Training.
• May require assistance with toileting and daily living skills.
• Able to work effectively within a trans-disciplinary team and take direction from professionals.

EARLY LEARNING EDUCATION ASSISTANT – St. Michael's School ( Pincher Creek )

This position is open to all internal and external candidates. Prior to employment, successful applicants must provide supporting documents as outlined on our New Employees page.

We are looking to hire a temporary 24.0 hour per week Early Learning Education Assistant to work at St. Michael's School in Pincher Creek. This assignment is to commence November 1, 2026 and terminate June 10, 2027. This position is covered by the CUPE 1825 collective agreement. Please quote Posting #4066034.

• Hanen Learning Language and Loving It Certification;
• At least one-year experience working in Childhood Program and/or with children with special needs;
• Experience working proactively with positive intervention with child's behaviours;
• Is able to provide supports and cues for sound production as directed by the Speech Language Pathologist;
• Is able to match activities and model appropriate behaviours at child's functioning level;
• Has or is willing to gain First Aid Training;
• Positions may require providing assistance with toileting and other daily living skills;
• Has the ability to work effectively within a trans-disciplinary team which is dependent on the child's need;
• Is able to take direction from the professional team;
• Must be physically able to engage and participate in the active ECS environment.
