Job summary

Oneida Nation is seeking an Early Childhood Program Supervisor to oversee daily operations for the Childcare Centre within the Life Long Learning Division. You will lead staff, ensure safety, and maintain program quality aligned with legislated guidelines and the program’s philosophy.

The role supports children's development and family stability, supervising up to 12 full-time staff along with casual employees, and ensures best practices in staff development and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory or leadership role (minimum 5 years) preferred.
• Experience with Ministry reporting, proposal writing and monitoring a general ledger is preferred.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Early Childhood Program Supervisor oversees the daily operations, management, and administration of the Childcare Centre within the Life Long Learning Division. This role ensures all services comply with legislated guidelines and align with the philosophy of the program.

The Supervisor provides leadership to ensure high-quality client service, supports children's social, physical, cognitive, and emotional development, and helps families create stable, nurturing environments. This supervisory position oversees up to 12 full-time staff, along with varying numbers of short-term and casual employees. The role also ensures adherence to best practices in child development, facility and equipment use, community engagement, and staff development.

EDUCATION:

• Early Childhood Educator diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and enrollment with the College of ECE.
• A certificate in Early Childhood Administration is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity is preferred.
• Previous experience with Ministry reporting, proposal writing and monitoring a general ledger is preferred.
