Compensation: $57,020.60–$67,249.00 annually, plus up to $2.00 per hour in Wage Enhancement funding for 2026, if applicable. SWCHC also offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes paid time off, health benefits, life insurance and participation in the HOOPP pension plan.

The Headstart Child Care program provides a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where toddler- and preschool-aged children can learn, grow and thrive through responsive, play-based learning. Guided by Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for Registered Early Childhood Educators in Ontario, the program supports each child’s development, well-being and individual needs.
Educators work closely with families, community partners, other professionals and inspectors to create meaningful learning experiences, monitor children’s progress, and provide safe, high-quality, family-centered care.
Reporting to the Manager of Children and Youth Services, the Site Supervisor, Headstart Child Care, oversees daily operations, provides pedagogical leadership, and fosters a culture of inclusion, well-being, engagement and belonging. The Site Supervisor helps maintain a safe and welcoming early-learning environment while building collaborative relationships with children, families, staff and community partners. This role combines direct program delivery with daily administrative responsibilities.
