Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care Career Center is seeking an Early Childhood Educator-Level 1 to join a caring team in Okotoks, AB. You will work with teachers and families to create a home-like environment that supports child development and well-being.

You will implement BrightPath’s curriculum, collaborate with families and staff, and participate in ongoing professional development. This full-time role includes a competitive benefits package and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• ECE certification (Level 1, 2 or 3) or an equivalent degree.
• Meet provincial requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health requirements per local health authority.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath curriculum to support child development.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and organized classroom environment.
• Assess children's abilities, interests and needs; discuss progress with families and staff.
• Establish collaborative relationships with coworkers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Support cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator-Level 1, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education - Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
