BrightPath Kids in Edmonton is hiring an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1 to partner with teachers and families in creating a nurturing home-like environment for children. The role focuses on implementing BrightPath’s curriculum and promoting child development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 1/2/3 certification or B.Ed./Equivalent.
• Meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessments per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath's curriculum to support child development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized learning environment.
• Assess children’s abilities, interests and needs; discuss progress with families and staff.
• Collaborate with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Support classroom materials cleanliness and organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath's curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education - Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
