Prairie Lily Early Learning Centre is hiring dedicated Early Childhood Educators to support children in programs with disabilities or added needs. You’ll help enhance ratios and provide one-on-one or small-group support so every child can participate fully.

The role focuses on play-based learning, collaboration with families, and inclusive curriculum design. Level 1–3 Saskatchewan ECE certifications are accepted; ASL fluency is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with disabilities or additional needs.
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder Certificate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic or prior professional development.
  • Fluency in ASL communication.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and resources effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with children, parents, and staff.

Responsabilités

  • Provide support to children who have an Enhanced Accessibility grant and to their group.
  • Participate in creating Personal Program Plans, attend interdisciplinary meetings, and use observation and assessment tools to ensure goals are met.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and fun classroom environment encouraging exploration and learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding child development and classroom activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support growth.
  • Help guide behaviour and support self-confidence and self-regulation in young children.
  • Maintain organized classroom materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with educators to create an inclusive curriculum for diverse needs.

Job Overview

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our team to work with children in our programs with disabilities or who may require additional support. These positions are specifically to enhance our ratios and provide one on one or small group support for children to be able to fully participate in our programs, be included in activities, and reach all their developmental goals.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with disabilities or additional needs, and will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment for young children. As an Early Childhood Educator, they will play a crucial role in the development and learning of children, supporting them with creativity and enthusiasm through play-based learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be able to:

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working with children with disabilities or additional needs.
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder Certificate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic or prior professional development.
  • Fluency in ASL communication.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and resources effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff.
  • An ability to both follow routines and be flexible when necessary.
  • An ability to care for and maintain a classroom environment that promotes learning through play.
  • Familiarity with early childhood education principles and best practices

Pay: $21.41-$27.85 per hour
