Elk Valley Kids Club in Fernie, BC is seeking an Early Childhood Educator Assistant to support children aged 5-11 before and after school. You will help implement age-appropriate activities, supervise safety, and assist with daily schedules in a warm, inclusive classroom.

The role requires a Secondary graduation, an ECEA certificate, First Aid and CPR, and 7 months to under 1 year of ECE/ECEA experience. On-site work with 32.5–40 hours per week, $22–$24 hourly, following SD5 calendar; training

Qualifications

• Must have Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of ECE/ECEA experience.
• ECEA Certificate and valid First Aid/CPR certificates required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children aged 5-11 at all times.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts.
• Assist with organizing and implementing daily schedules.
• Keep classroom tidy and follow health and safety procedures.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding progress and concerns.
• Assist in keeping records and writing licensing reports.
