Job summary

Today’s Family Early Learning and Child is hiring an Early Childhood Educator in Burlington, ON for a permanent, on-site role with 27 hours per week. The successful candidate will hold a college diploma in ECE (or higher), be RECE in good standing, and maintain up-to-date immunizations, with Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Knowledge of the ChildCare and Early Years Act (CCEYA).
• Thorough knowledge of How Does Learning Happen?
• Experience working with children in a child care setting.
• Immunizations up-to-date (TB, Tetanus, Polio, MMR).
• Registered ECE in good standing.
• Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification.
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within last 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with children to co-create experiences to investigate, explore, and amplify their interests.
• Offer dynamic, diverse programming that supports well-being, engagement, and expression of children.
• Explore diverse early learning approaches including Reggio Emilia, play-, project-based learning, and outdoor/arts-based learning.
• Facilitate belonging by creating welcoming, safe environments for children and families.
• Build strong family partnerships through meaningful communication and events.
• Align with Ontario’s emergent curriculum and How Does Learning Happen? guidelines.
