Job summary

Coast to Coast Educare is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join a growing team at multiple in-person locations in British Columbia. You will design age-appropriate curricula, support children's development, and collaborate with families to track progress.

The role requires a valid ECE/ITE license, First Aid/CPR, Food Safe, and references. Expect a 40-hour week with a strong emphasis on safety, nutrition education, and open-ended play-based learning.

Qualifications

  • License to practice as an Early Childhood Educator or Infant and Toddler Educator.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR.
  • Food Safe (Basic - Level 1).
  • Criminal record check from the Ministry of Justice.
  • 2–3 positive professional references.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia Approach and open-ended play-based learning.
  • Familiar with BC's Early Learning Framework, ECEBC's Code of Ethics, and ECPN.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom of young children.
  • Knowledgeable about children's nutritional needs to educate about our Nutrition Program.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $23.00-$26.00 per hours plus a $6 Government Wage Enhancement ($29.00-$32.00)

Experience: Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Language: English (required)

License/Certification: BC License to practice as an ECE and/or ITE
