Job Description

Little Lizzies Childcare Centre is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Educational Assistant to provide one‑on‑one support for a child with diverse needs within our childcare program. The successful candidate will work closely with the child to ensure the child is fully indulged in daily activities and receives the support needed to succeed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one support to a child with diverse needs.
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and participation in activities.
• Support the child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Monitor and document observations, progress, and behaviours as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and positive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom activities and general childcare duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Certification/willing to obtain or related education is an asset.
• Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
