Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Milton, ON is hiring an Early Childhood Assistant to support teachers and families in creating a nurturing home-away-from-home for children. You will assist with instructional activities, help maintain a safe, engaging environment, and foster collaboration among staff and families.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, with Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred, and standard first aid/infant CPR.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred.
• Must meet province requirement for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment per local health requirements.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
