BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care in Meadowvale, ON is hiring an Early Childhood Assistant. You will work closely with teachers and families to create a welcoming home-like environment for children and support learning activities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist RECEs with instruction in the classroom and activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for children.
• Engage with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Build collaborative relationships with colleagues, families, and management.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
• Support classroom materials organization and upkeep.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School/Equivalent required, Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred
