Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is a leading private sector nuclear engineering group in Canada seeking an Electrical Engineer with 0–2+ years of experience. You will perform engineering work under QA programs, lead design activities, and prepare drawings, calculations, and reports for CANDU projects.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, eligibility to register, and preference for a Master’s in Power Engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and eligible to register.
Master's degree in Power Engineering and Distribution systems preferred.
0–2+ years' experience in electrical engineering and nuclear power systems.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering work following QA programs, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Lead and contribute to conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design activities.
Prepare engineering deliverables: drawings, calculations, reports, design manuals, specifications, BOMs.
Coordinate with clients, suppliers, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams.
Provide procurement technical support and interface with vendors.
Mentor and review the work of junior engineers and designers.
Conduct field walkdowns; prepare reports; lead or support commissioning and closeout activities.
Manage assigned scopes within budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
Provide prompt technical resolutions for engineering issues.
