MD Management Limited, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, is seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Early Career Education Specialist to join our team.

This role involves contributing to the success of the Early Career Education Specialist Team in Canada by executing specific goals, plans, and initiatives aligned with the team’s business strategies. Ensuring all activities comply with regulations, policies, and procedures is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Championing a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Acting as the first face-to-face contact for MD Financial Management (MDFM), promoting and communicating the MD value proposition with a solid understanding of the physician journey, MD’s core products, and services.
  • Generating quality leads for MD Financial Management and linking prospects with Early Career Advisors.
  • Establishing a prominent and positive presence on campus, in teaching hospitals, and within the New in Practice community.
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders such as residency program directors, PTMA, affiliates, and Scotiabank.
  • Seeking opportunities to impress prospects and clients, recognizing career and personal milestones.
  • Delivering financial literacy educational sessions.
  • Organizing MDFM presence at resident orientations, academic half-days, and special events.
  • Using social media and networking tools to engage with prospects and clients, creating stakeholder communities.
  • Gathering feedback from residents and new physicians to inform strategies and programs.
  • Considering the bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
  • Ensuring effective operations in line with Scotiabank’s values, code of conduct, and sales principles, including business controls and risk management.
  • Contributing to an inclusive, high-performance work environment.

Education & Experience:

  • University degree or equivalent experience in Commerce, Marketing, or Communications.
  • Experience in partnership relationship management and negotiation.
  • 3-5 years in marketing/business development within financial services or healthcare industries.
  • Strong financial planning knowledge.
  • In-depth understanding of the medical student and resident experience, with the ability to develop relevant links.
