MD Management Limited, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, seeks a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Early Career Education Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will contribute to the success of the Early Career Education Specialist Team in Canada by executing specific goals, plans, and initiatives aligned with the team’s business strategies and objectives. All activities must comply with regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Act as the first face-to-face contact point for MD Financial Management (MDFM), effectively promoting and communicating the MD value proposition, understanding the physician journey, and MD’s core products and services.
  • Generate quality leads for MD Financial Management, connecting prospects with Early Career Advisors.
  • Develop a prominent, consistent, and positive presence on campus, in teaching hospitals, and within the New in Practice community.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders such as residency program directors, PTMA, affiliates, and Scotiabank.
  • Identify opportunities to impress prospects and clients, recognizing career and personal milestones.
  • Deliver financial literacy educational sessions.
  • Coordinate MDFM presence at resident orientations, academic half-days, and special events.
  • Utilize social media and networking tools to engage prospects and clients, creating stakeholder communities.
  • Gather feedback from residents and new physicians to inform future strategies.
  • Consider the bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and compliance with Scotiabank’s values, conduct policies, and risk management standards.
  • Promote a high-performance, inclusive work environment.

Education & Experience:

  • University degree or equivalent (Commerce, Marketing, Communications).
  • Experience in partnership management and negotiation.
  • 3-5 years in marketing/business development, preferably in financial services or healthcare.
  • Strong financial planning knowledge.
  • Understanding of the medical student and resident experience to develop relevant links.
