TD Commercial Banking services the unique needs of Canadian businesses by customizing a broad range of products. As part of the Commercial Banking team, the Relationship Manager (RM) works with an Analyst to support a portfolio of customers with borrowings ranging from $1 million to $15 million. The RM focuses on growing the portfolio by developing new business from existing and new customers.
While credit analysis is not a major component, it may be required based on business volume. The RM receives coaching from the Unit Leader and Sales Manager. The RM manages a portfolio of mid-market commercial relationships, establishing trust and acting as a business advisor. They identify opportunities to expand banking relationships and develop strategies for each client, including external relationship development for new business opportunities.
The RM's main responsibilities include acquiring new relationships through referrals and targeted calling, balancing sales, cross-selling, servicing, and referrals to Business Partners. Successful candidates will have a proven ability to generate new business, analyze and structure commercial credit, and develop relationships.
