Korn Ferry has partnered with an aerospace manufacturing company to support their search for a Controller.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a strong problem-solving / action-orientated Controller with a hands-on mindset to lead its finance and accounting functions. The Controller will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting. The Controller will be expected to interface cross-functionally throughout the organization to support decision making and to ensure finance processes properly sync with operations. The candidate should be capable of implementing new systems and processes to support efficiency and the continued growth of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage internal finance and operational control functions, including cash management and tax reporting, customer invoicing processes, collections and aging
• Support IT function and capital projects
• Implement accounting policies, procedures, cost accounting supervision, and internal controls
• Assist with the development of annual and monthly financial budgets and forecasts
• Measure and report actual to budget / forecast variances
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Oversee financial and operational systems including integration and upgrades
• Generate monthly reporting packages
• Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external parties around financial metrics and reporting
• Support with annual audit processes

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting preferably in the manufacturing industry or related field
• Experience with the implementation of new accounting systems and processes for operational reporting metrics
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills
• Ability to work on-site (Ontario)
