Status : Full-Time, Permanent

Location : Edmonton or Vancouver preferred, with additional travel. This is a hybrid role.

Summary:

This customer-focused position manages the sales channel within the Home Services organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the candidate oversees a team of Sales Consultants, ensuring they meet their individual targets. The ultimate responsibility is achieving overall sales revenue targets for the territory, requiring effective manpower and workload management, target setting, and strategic planning.

The Sales Manager will develop and maintain strategic relationships within the company and with external partners to maximize sales opportunities and growth.

Accountabilities:

  1. Drive sales volume, build strong teams, and enhance customer satisfaction in the Residential business.
  2. Manage a sales team targeting over $15M in revenue, focusing on Water Treatment, Water Heaters, and HVAC solutions benefiting from the Advantage Rental platforms.
  3. Foster positive relationships with Call Centers, Sales Support, Operations, Marketing, and Logistics teams, including order reconciliation.
  4. Monitor weekly sales performance focusing on closing ratios, average sale values, gross margins, rental rates, ancillary sales, IAQ attachments, and Water Treatment products, emphasizing net new rental water heaters and sustainable products like heat pumps.
  5. Ensure high levels of customer care and satisfaction.
  6. Contribute to promotional, pricing, supplier, and new product strategies.
  7. Manage manpower and workload effectively on a daily and long-term basis.
  8. Set targets, forecasts, and budgets.
  9. Identify recruitment needs and motivate the sales team through training and coaching.
  10. Generate leads and referrals, working with Technicians to drive lead activity.
  11. Promote consistency with the Enercare brand and service values.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 5 years of sales and service industry leadership or management experience.
  2. Undergraduate degree in business or engineering preferred.
  3. MBA or related graduate degree, or equivalent work experience, is an asset.
  4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, and ambiguous environment.
  5. Strong leadership skills.
  6. Proficiency with computers and systems.
  7. Ability to deliver professional presentations.
  8. Quick decision-making skills without detailed information.
  9. Ability to handle escalated customer issues.
