Position Summary:
The SeniorManager, Operations will lead and oversee all operational activitiesacross our Burnaby manufacturing site, including Assembly, Sheet MetalFabrication, Warehouse and Inventory, Quality, Industrial ProcessEngineering, Production Planning, and Facilities Maintenance.
This key leadership role will drive operationalexcellence by ensuring efficient production processes, high-qualityoutput, strong safety performance, and continuous improvementinitiatives aligned with company objectives. The Senior Manager willlead a team of team leads, managers, and support staff, championcross-functional collaboration, and play a critical role in shapingthe future of our manufacturing operations.

Reporting to:
Director, Operations and Engineering
Essential Functions:
- Provide overall leadership for manufacturing operations,ensuring safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagementtargets are met.
- Directly oversee Assembly, Warehouse,Inventory, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Quality, Industrial ProcessEngineering, Production Planning, and Facilities Maintenance teams.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align withorganizational goals and drive continuous improvement in efficiency,productivity, and product quality.
- Comply and track KPIs foroperational performance, including throughput, on-time delivery,inventory accuracy, scrap reduction, and labour utilization.
- Lead operational planning activities, including productionscheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Oversee department-level budgeting, forecasting, and costcontrol initiatives.
- Foster a culture of safety by ensuringcompliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, company safety policies, andproactive risk mitigation practices.
- Collaborate withEngineering, Supply Chain, and Product Management teams to support NewProduct Introductions (NPI) and product lifecycle changes.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other continuousimprovement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Support the development and implementation of qualitymanagement systems and processes.
- Lead talent managementefforts, including coaching, developing, and succession planning foroperational staff.
- Build strong cross-functionalrelationships to enhance communication, collaboration, andproblem-solving across the organization.
- Manage facilitymaintenance programs to ensure optimal operation of the manufacturingsite.
Qualifications:
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, ManufacturingEngineering, Operations Management, or a related technical/businessfield.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification(preferred).
Work Experience
- Minimum 8+years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with atleast 3+ years in a senior leadership or multi-department managementrole.
- Strong experience overseeing multidisciplinary teamsin a high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environment (e.G.,HVAC, appliances, industrial equipment).
- Proven success indriving operational improvements, cost reductions, and qualityenhancements.
- Practical experience building and sustaining alean culture is required.
- Practical experience in an ISO9001 facility is an asset.
- Experience managing operationalbudgeting and capital planning processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Deep knowledge ofmanufacturing best practices, including production planning, inventorymanagement, fabrication, assembly operations, and quality systems.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, root causeanalysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Advancedproficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle or similar preferred) andMicrosoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis andplanning).
- Strong analytical and financial acumen to managebudgets and operational KPIs.
- Exceptional leadership, teambuilding, and talent development skills.
- Excellentproblem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to influence across levels of the organization andwork effectively with cross-functional teams.

Compensation Package:
- $156,124 - $183,276 CAD annual base pay
