Job description

We are looking for a Kitchen Attendant to join our fast-paced kitchen team. We offer top-of-market wages and excellent perks.

As a Kitchen Attendant, you will help ensure memorable dining experiences by supporting the culinary team in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient operation. Your responsibilities include taking care of, cleaning, and inspecting flatware, tableware, kitchen equipment, and maintaining all kitchen areas to a high standard. You will also assist with culinary prep to support kitchen flow.

Responsibilities include:

1. Cleaning plates, cups, glasses, silverware, pots, and all cooking utensils using appropriate machinery.
2. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of stewarding areas, including removing garbage and boxes, especially at the end of shifts.
3. Working with a safety mindset, proactively addressing food safety and hazard prevention for both staff and guests.
4. Following safe food handling procedures at all times.
5. Preparing items to meet guest requests and support needs.
6. Controlling waste and working efficiently with food ingredients.
7. Preparing ingredients, garnishes, sauces, etc., according to specifications.

Qualifications:

1. Previous stewarding, dishwashing, or prep cook experience is an asset.
2. Highly responsible and reliable.
3. Ability to work well with colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision.
4. Capable of working in a high-paced, stressful environment while maintaining professionalism.
5. Strong health and safety awareness and commitment to a safe work environment.

Working Conditions:

This role may require long days and weekends to meet business demands. It is physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive motions.
