Electrical Engineering Manager – Wellons, Inc.

For over 50 years, Wellons, Inc. has been a leader in providing wood-fired energy systems, lumber dry kilns, and related products and services to the forest products industry. We offer complete services in design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and technical support.

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA. The manager will report to the E & I Engineering Manager and collaborate closely with mechanical, process, piping engineering teams, our electrical fabrication shop, field installation personnel, and Customer Service Group.

Job Responsibilities

1. Schedule all projects to meet deadlines.
2. Design electrical controls and power systems in compliance with contracts, codes, and standards.
3. Develop, design, and test process software.
4. Represent Wellons in meetings with customers, consultants, vendors, and authorities.
5. Participate in weekly production meetings.
6. Oversee activities of our UL508A electrical panel shop.
7. Provide onsite support during startup of installations as needed.
8. Troubleshoot issues via phone, online, and onsite.
9. Support internal and external customers.
10. Maintain and enhance the technology of Wellons products.
11. Research new technologies and products to maintain market leadership.
12. Staff the department based on current and future needs.
13. Promote employee training to improve productivity and quality.

Required Skills

• Strong leadership and management abilities.
• Design, field experience, startup, and troubleshooting in process industry, power distribution, cogeneration, PLC control systems, HMI software (Rockwell FactoryTalk View, Wonderware InTouch, Ignition).
• Supervision and scheduling of personnel.

Desired Skills

• PE license in Electrical Engineering (highly desirable).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, MS Office, and electrical design software like Etap, MS Project.
• Experience managing domestic and international projects.
