A First Nations community is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee housing services. The role includes ensuring compliance with building codes, conducting inspections, and training community members. Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee housing maintenance services within our First Nations community. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring homes are safe, well-maintained, and meet BC Building Code standards. They must hold a BC Building Inspector License and will be responsible for conducting home inspections, monitoring contractor repairs, and performing final inspections.
Additionally, this role will involve training community members in the construction of mini homes, contributing to skills development and self-sufficiency within the community. A Red Seal in Carpentry is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to First Nations members.
