Golf Maintenance Lead Hand / Senior Groundskeeper

Join our team at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts as a Golf Maintenance Lead Hand / Senior Groundskeeper.

Nestled at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, just two hours north of Downtown Vancouver, Fairmont Chateau Whistler offers mountain luxury with ski-in, ski-out access in winter and an on-site championship golf course in summer. We are Canada’s year-round outdoor adventure destination, featuring 5 dining outlets, a slope-side Health Club, and 519 guestrooms and suites.

Position Details

This is a full-time, seasonal role, available throughout the 2025 golf season until October 2025.

Compensation
  • Lead Hand - $24.25/hour
  • Senior Groundskeeper - $21.85/hour
Responsibilities
  • Maintain the golf course's overall appearance and ensure greens are in optimal condition
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides, recording each application
  • Operate power tools and equipment safely
  • Assist in training maintenance staff
  • Manage operational, administrative, and team needs
Qualifications
  • Extensive golf maintenance experience
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems preferred
  • Experience with fertilizer and chemical calibration and application preferred
  • Certification/diploma in a related field required
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
