Duties, Responsibilities & Other
  • Responsible for project management, client interaction, and technical and fee proposal preparation within the designated engineering practice. Manage projects, develop scopes and budgets, conduct engineering studies, and prepare technical reports for various high-profile projects. Assist the engineering practice leader in project budgets, technical deliverables, QA/QC reviews, proposals, and communication with clients. Also involve marketing, business development, and practice expansion.
  • Oversee one or more large or important projects, or an entire engineering program of limited complexity, typically requiring 3 to 5 subordinate supervisors or team leaders. Conduct research, serve as a specialist, and stay updated with new scientific methods to recommend program changes or new initiatives.
  • Demonstrate good communication, supervisory, and mentoring skills. Maintain reliability, attention to detail, and a valid driver’s license for travel to project sites and meetings.
  • Have recent business development and project management experience (past 2-4 years). Ability to manage multiple projects and work with diverse teams. PE license is preferred.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s preferred.
  • 7-12 years of professional experience.
  • Professional certification preferred.
  • Pre-employment drug screening, background, and motor vehicle checks may be required.
Performance Expectations
  • Complete annual training, mentor staff, and develop backup personnel.
  • Develop customer relationships, ensure project safety, and meet budget and schedule goals.
  • Participate in meetings, review project performance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage project finances, prepare reports, and oversee technical oversight and project management activities.
  • Conduct site visits, prepare preliminary designs, and interpret technical documents.
